Reggie Blackmon | Assistant CoachReginald Blackmon enters his first season as assistant women’s basketball coach. Blackmon was hired in October 2024 to reunited with Coach Mathews. Blackmon comes to Guilford after spending the 2023-2024 as an Assistant DI coach at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio Texas.

Blackmon was the Head Women’s Basketball Coach at Agnes Scott College in Decatur, GA. During his three seasons there he has recruited the largest team in recent history and increased his win total each season.

As the defensive coordinator at Bridgewater College in Virginia from 2018-2020, Blackmon’s defense forced 27 turnovers per game and achieved 15 steals per game in his second season. Under his tutelage, Madison Baum earned Defensive Player of the Year in the ODAC while the Eagles earned their highest conference tournament seeding since the 2010-2011 season.

Prior to his two seasons in Bridgewater, Blackmon served as the assistant women’s basketball coach at McDaniel College in Maryland. In his five seasons with the Green Terror, Blackmon helped lead the program to two conference championships appearances and an NCAA tournament appearance. Under his tutelage, Lindsey Nichols earned back to back Centennial Conference player of the year.

Blackmon holds a Master’s of Science Degree in Exercise Science from McDaniel College and obtained his Bachelor’s Degree from Howard University where he played D1 basketball.

A vigorous recruiter, Blackmon’s expertise working with youth results in a team of basketball players that strive for excellence on and off the court.
